Diwali Home Makeover 2026: Modular Kitchen & Wardrobe Ideas

Diwali comes every year, and every year it’s the same story. Guests are coming, the house needs to look good, and you suddenly notice your kitchen is cramped and your wardrobe won’t close.

So can you do a modular kitchen renovation before Diwali? Yes, but only if you plan it right. How much time you have decides what’s possible.

Modular kitchen renovation before Diwali

A full custom kitchen, made to your exact measurements, is tight in one week. If someone promises it by Dhanteras, ask them how.

Here is what you can do this week

• Get your kitchen measured and fix the layout. Straight, L-shaped, parallel, whatever your flat can take.
• Pick finish and materials. At Modulux, we work with CenturyPly boards and Blum, Hettich, and GRASS hardware.
• Lock your slot, so work starts as soon as the festival is over, or earlier if you have the time.

We give a 10-year warranty on our modular kitchens (terms apply). So we’d rather do it right than do it fast.

Festive Home Renovation Mumbai: Start with the Wardrobe

Guests are coming, gifts are piling up, and your cupboards are bursting. A wardrobe is the easier win before the festival.

Go for a floor-to-ceiling unit with a loft on top. The loft takes the suitcases and festive bedsheets you never use.

Sharing with your partner? Do a his & her wardrobe with separate sections. We’ve done these for couples in Mumbai flats, and it ends the “that’s my shelf” fight.
